We choose our mares for their personalities, conformation, pedigree’s and unique colours!

We aim to produce the best quality we can - horses that we personally dream about.

Each of our babies are handled and started correctly from the beginning, ensuring to some degree that they will have a long and happy future as trusted, well mannered equine friends.

The bloodlines we choose to use in our program are recognized for consistently producing the ultimate all round performance horses with sound minds and bodies.

We have an absolute passion for the unique and different, which is why we love rare colours and continue to add them to our program!

Our ‘designer colour’ breeding program now features the following colours and white patterns:
Classic Roan, Tobiano, True Black, Dun Factor and the extremely rare and stunning Silver Dapple(Taffy) and Champagne dilution genes.

Star is an extremely rare Chocolate Silver(Taffy) coloured mare.
Only a handful of registered Quarter horses in the world today are carriers of this rare dilution gene and it has amazing colour effects, diluting a black horse into a rich chocolate colour with flaxen mane and tail.

Star is mainly sprint bred with horses such a Mr Moon Rocketeer(IMP), Easy Deck and Cactus Delta(IMP) all close up in her pedigree. She is a fast and agile mare with a stunning front and pretty head.

She has already proved her quality as a broodmare, having produced an Australian Champion Quarab Colt (silver bay). So we are just thrilled and excited to see what she produces for us.

Genetically tested by Animal genetics(USA) as a carrier of the silver dilution allele (nZ) and also homozygous black(EE)
Star can not produce a chestnut foal.

Walla Xtra Chex

‘Angel’

‘Angel’ our special golden oldie, such a strong well put together Quarter horse mare, she definitely doesn’t show her age.

This rare diamond is a direct daughter of the brilliant ‘Rare Chex’ son of ‘King Fritz’ Hall of Fame AmQHA and out of a mare called Walla On Top who was one of 6 or more daughters out of Koolmundoola Miss Pepe(Amber Champagne mare) by Pepe Buck (IMP).

This mare is a real stand out in personality, conformation and type.

Currently in foal to Elbon Stud’s stunning Stallion ‘Money Rules’

‘Angel’ has been colour tested by Animal Genetics in the USA and she is homozygous black (EE) so can not produce a red foal.

Rare Eyed Chex

‘Creamy’

‘Creamy’ (Sable Champagne) is our most precious antique lady. The dam of many exceptional progeny. Her sire being ‘Rare Chex’ a versatile performance horse competing in cutting,reining and western pleasure events and the sire of many Champions, his sire was the great King Fritz (Hall of Fame AmAqha).

Her dam ‘Koolmundoola Miss Pepe’ was the foundation cornerstone of the Champagne gene found in the Quarter horses here in Australia (read her story on our colour genetics page) She was dam of a number of show winning progeny including Calivil Bill (10 awards-395 points) and Walla on Top (6 awards-175 points)(Walla on Top is Walla Xtra Chex’s dam see above). This line of horses are known for their superbly willing and kind natures. In total ‘Creamy’ has produced 5 Champagne coloured foals to date.

She is now enjoying a well earned retirement and is a great Nana for the young ones.

‘Amber’ is a beautiful working/performance bred amber champagne Quarter horse filly. She is the daughter of Rare Eyed Chex. She is a grand-daughter of the great Docs Spinifex and is super athletic, she has the power and style to make a top peformance horse and will be competed in reining and cutting events in the future. Even though she is strong, quick and cow smart she has the most trustworthy personality just like her Dam.

She is calm, kind and reliable enough for the whole family to enjoy and nothing fazes her, she always gives her best, 100% everytime.

‘Amber’

‘Pinki’ is an especially sweet girl. She is by Tru Blu Texan (IMP) and out of Coliban Gold N Metal (Peptos Stylish Oak). Her soft and dependable nature just shines right out of her, this type of ‘willing to work all day for you’ attitude is what the original Quarter Horse was known and bred for, and what we particularly like and look for in our horses.

She is a great mix of modern and foundation lines that just can’t be beaten when it comes to producing consistent performance champions.

‘Pinki’ is a stunning red classic roan with the heavy roaning that was and still is a real trade mark for the famous Blue Valentine bred horses.

Our Paint Mares

QT Dun Up In Clover

‘Clover’

Clover is a Red Dun Tobiano (tested) her breeding and colour make her unique, she also has a great personality and is a lovely big mare standing at 15.3hh.

She is sired by imp Dun Stallion ‘QT DunUpDouble’ and out of a very well bred QH mare ‘Pepimint Glo’ who was sired by ‘Crimson Glo’.

We are really looking forward to seeing what she and Sam (Heza Blue Tom Cat) produce in the future. The resulting foal will be the only one of its breeding in Australia. Having the well known Paint Reining Champion QT Poco Streke top and bottom.

Clover is also a granddaughter of Q Ton of Gold (QT Poco Streke x McBear Crystal) and Hollywood Gold AQHA.

Clover is currently being started under saddle and will be campaigned 2010 show season.

“Bubbles” is proudly owned and loved by the youngest human member of our family, Sienna and had to have her spot on our mares page!.

A stunning little girl with a fantastic personality, she is by Paint Stallion Double K Ultimate Grand who is a grandson of Roc O Lena.

She has a huge future ahead of her as Sienna and her develop there partnership together.

Watch out for this duo, they are a perfect match and will definitely be hitting the show scene in the future!
