Balanced Horsemanship

Our education program the “B.A.L.A.N.C.E” course has put together some of our best training methods and techniques in achieving a quality relationship between you and your horse. We cover different parts of the course at our Workshops and Clinics. Or students may choose to cover the course in private sessions. Listed below is our course information .

BASICS

  • Learn the basic facts of holistic horse care and nutrition.
  • What your horse needs from you to stay healthy and sound.
  • Basic ground handling skills and how to stay safe: Catch, Halter, Lead. Float and Travel.
  • Includes Horsemanship demonstration and interactive learning.

ATTITUDE

  • Learn about Herd Psychology
  • How to achieve mutual respect.
  • Boundary setting for your horse and leadership training for you.
  • Learn what it means to be a real leader to your horse and then see the amazing results.
  • Test your own believability!.Is your horse hearing you?

LANGUAGE

  • Learn how to apply the language of leadership that your horse understands.
  • Find out how to use your own personality and energy levels effectively to improve your communication.
  • Understand how to recognize and overcome defensiveness, introversion and aggression in your horse.
  • Put your established ground skills to the test by learning how to challenge your horse and test your leadership at liberty.

ATHLETICISM

  • Don’t sacrifice physicality for performance!
  • How to break down the brace and soften your horse physically and mentally.
  • Identify physical carriage, learn about muscle building, rhythm and how to get a real “soft mouth”.
  • How to become a more balanced rider, you don’t have to be super fit, learn how to do less to get more.

NERVE

  • What does it take to be a confident rider? It all starts in your mind learn how to let go of all that fear, by gaining control
  • Learn how to find courage because you feel safe and put some real purpose to your riding.
  • Learn how to make riding a good deal for your horse.
  • Challenge yourself but stay safe and actually have fun!.

COLLECTION

  • How to achieve collection without force but through incentive and flow.
  • Truly feel and recognize what engagement and power in your horse feels like.
